  • 30 Apr 2012 Private Sector Credit – SA The South African Reserve Bank reported that private sector credit increased to 9.16% year-on-year in March.
  • 30 Apr 2012 Trade Balance – SA South Africa recorded a trade deficit of R5.5 billion in March , compared with a trade deficit of R7.5 billion in February.
  • 1 May 2012 Interest Rate Decision – Australia The Reserve Bank of Australia decided to decrease interest rates by 0.50% to 3.75%.
  • 3 May 2012 Electricity Consumption – SA Statistics South Africa (Stats SA) reported that electricity consumption decreased by 4.4% year-on-year in March.
  • 3 May 2012 Electricity Production – SA Statistics South Africa (Stats SA) reported that electricity production decreased by 3.7% year-on-year in March.
  • 3 May 2012 New Motor Vehicle Sales – SA South Africa's vehicle sales increased by 10.5% year-on-year in April, to 42,617 vehicles.
  • 23 Apr 2012 PPI – Australia The Australian Bureau of Statistics reported that the PPI decreased by 0.3% in the first quarter of 2012.
  • 24 Apr 2012 Leading Indicators – SA The South African Reserve Bank (SARB) reported that the leading indicator decreased by 0.2% year-on-year in February.
  • 25 Apr 2012 Interest Rate Decision – New Zealand The Reserve Bank of New Zealand decided to leave the key interest rate unchanged at 2.5%.
  • 25 Apr 2012 PPI – SA Statistics South Africa (Stats SA) reported that the PPI decreased to 7.2% year-on-year in March.
  • 26 Apr 2012 Leading Indicators – Australia The Westpac Banking Corp. (WBC) and the Melbourne Institute reported that the gauge of future economic growth increased by 0.2% month-on-month to 284.2 points in February.
